Job summary

Harvest Home Inc. seeks a Residential Program Substitute to maintain a safe, supportive communal living environment for homeless pregnant women and their children at Pico or Venice homes.

You will provide onsite supervision, guide residents through activities, assist with babies, and help enforce policies. The role requires readiness to cover shifts, including evenings and weekends, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Organized with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Understanding of homelessness, women's health, pregnancy, parenting, trauma, mental health.
• Solution-oriented communication and respectful relationships with diverse clients.
• Relational skills and healthy boundaries are essential.
• Strong listening and problem-solving abilities; crisis-intervention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite supervision and assistance with daily activities.
• Guide residents through scheduled activities and dinners.
• Assist with babies and household activities as needed.
• Uphold Harvest Home policies and safety procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and log shift activities.
• Drive clients to hospital during labor and assist with post-birth transport.
• End-of-shift lock-up and curfew for resident safety.
