Job summary

Harvest Home Inc. in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Residential Life Coordinator to create a safe, structured home environment and support residents with daily activities, program goals, and transitions.

You will supervise evening shifts, coordinate house operations, foster trauma-informed care, and collaborate with care managers, teachers, volunteers, and donors. This role requires 2+ years in social services, strong communication, reliable transportation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in social service field (non-profits, government, missions, etc.).
• High EQ to foster respectful and appropriate relationships with residents, with sensitivity to homelessness, trauma, mental health, etc.
• Strong communication and organization skills; ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Smartphone required and CA Driver’s License with access to a personal vehicle for occasional transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Email/Chat tools.

Responsibilities

• Create a joyful, innovative, empowered, welcoming, structured, and safe home environment.
• Manage household structure, activities and schedules (chores, classes, meals, activities, etc.).
• Work with residents to meet program goals and expectations.
• Support residents in practicing life skills (chores, cooking, timeliness, etc.).
• Coordinate with teachers, volunteers, and donors for groups, classes, events, and service opportunities.
• Communicate information about community living and home environment; maintain trauma-informed environment.
• Engage in crisis prevention/intervention and coordinate emergency responses as needed.
• Facilitate weekly house meetings and support accountability and respectful relationships.
• Document resident behavior and interventions; assist with move-in/orientation for new residents.
• Establish respectful relationships with residents from diverse backgrounds and ensure safety and security of the home.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, restocking, and purchase groceries; assist with resident transportation as needed.
• Occasional staffing for other days/hours; attend house, program, and agency meetings and supervision.
