1300 Swedish Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Technician – Nursing Assistant for full-time evening shifts in Rehab. 36 hours per week with four shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Clinician will support nursing staff by assisting with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, ECG setup, and EMR documentation, including Covid-19 care, while maintaining patient safety and privacy. The position requires CNA certification or accredited nursing assistant training, or equivalent

Qualifications

• CNA certification or completion of accredited nursing assistant training.
• Ability to interact effectively with others and uphold confidentiality.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and self-directed.
• Experience with patient care and basic nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on assigned unit under RN supervision.
• Document vitals and patient observations in the EMR.
• Assist with hygiene, mobility, and daily activities.
• Prepare patient rooms and assist with admissions and equipment setup.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE guidelines, and safety policies.
• Collaborate with the health care team and communicate changes to the RN.
