Endeavor Health in Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Nursing Assistant - Rehab to support nursing staff on the Swedish Hospital unit. The role involves evenings, full-time hours, and potential cross-unit travel as needed.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, vital signs, hygiene support, and documentation in the EMR. The position emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and adherence to safety protocols within a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or completion of accredited nursing assistant training.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to interact effectively with others.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality standards.
• Must communicate effectively (both written and verbally), be organized and self directed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients on assigned unit under supervision of a Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, visitors, and care team.
• Follow standard precautions and PPE as required.
• Assist with patient hygiene and elimination needs.
• Set up patient room with ECG leads and essential equipment.
• Assist RN with admitting patients and obtaining initial vitals.
• Document vital signs in EMR.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with nourishment, ambulation, and ROM.
• Support safe patient handling and equipment use.
