Job summary

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking an Evening Coordinator to oversee evening instructional operations across DeKalb Campus and other assigned locations. You will coordinate class and building schedules, assist with adjunct hiring, and maintain credential documentation while supporting student retention and community outreach.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in higher education, with the ability to work evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of experience in a higher education setting or similar environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience directing the work of others.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and work evenings and Saturdays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic coordination and oversight for evening instructional operations across assigned campuses and buildings.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute accurate classroom and building schedules for all classes and activities.
• Prescreen adjunct instructors to verify minimum education, credentials, and experience requirements.
• Coordinate faculty interviews, schedule candidates, assemble panels, and maintain hiring documentation.
• Prepare and track Faculty Qualification Forms and credential documentation for accuracy and timely approval.
• Coordinate student-retention initiatives and outreach for students at risk of stopping out or withdrawing.
• Manage articulation agreements with academic leadership and partner institutions.
• Plan and participate in community outreach to promote programs and student engagement.
• Serve as primary evening and Saturday contact for faculty and students and report issues to college leaders.
• Coordinate work of evening/Saturday staff and prepare operational reports.
