Job summary

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking a Cosmetology Adjunct Instructor for evening classes at the DeKalb Campus. You will provide theory and practical instruction to prepare students for employment in Cosmetology.

Required qualifications include a Diploma and a current Master Cosmetologist License; strong communication skills and flexibility are essential. Teaching and industry experience are highly valued, with opportunities to advise and mentor students and update curriculum.

Qualifications

Diploma from an accredited postsecondary college.
Current Master Cosmetologist License issued by the Georgia Board of Cosmetology.
Knowledge of instructional techniques and technology.
Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible work schedule; day/evening/Saturday classes possible.
Three+ years of paid in-field cosmetology experience and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Provide theory and practical instruction to develop cosmetology skills for employment.
Advise and mentor students; select textbooks and update curriculum.
Develop instructional materials and update course content.
Report to the Division Chair of Industrial Technology and Professional Services.
