Job summary

Valmont Industries in Claremore, OK, is seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor to lead a production team in our Global Coatings Division. The role focuses on safety, quality, and productivity, with responsibilities spanning planning staffing, scheduling, and coaching to meet production targets.

You will monitor operations, drive continuous improvement, and partner with quality to exceed customer expectations while maintaining accurate records and fostering a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in supervisory or management position with a proven record of strong leadership capabilities.
• Ability to recognize hazardous substances and understand basic chemical safety responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.
• Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner.
• Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Create a positive and engaged work environment by training, motivating, and supporting employees.
• Champion workplace safety by ensuring all safety policies and practices are followed.
• Plan staffing, work assignments, and production schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Monitor production activities and equipment for safe, efficient processes.
• Partner with quality teams to ensure inspection standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvement by involving employees and identifying productivity opportunities.
• Apply company policies fairly while fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Support onboarding and training for new employees.
• Maintain accurate production records including timekeeping, reports, overtime, and downtime.
