Valmont Industries, Inc. in Claremore, Oklahoma is seeking a Production Lead who will work closely with the Production Supervisor to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics on the shop floor.

You will lead, train and coach the shift, ensure PPE usage, follow blueprints, monitor inspections, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem solving to deliver high quality results in a fast paced, weekend night environment.

Formación

• Ability to pass forklift test.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of Valmont manufacturing process.
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Fast learner; understand department functions within six months.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and prints.
• Mathematical reading for feet, inches, fractions, and dimensions.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and coach employees on safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper PPE usage.
• Report injuries and near misses promptly.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness on shift.
• Monitor adherence to quality standards and prevent defects.
• Conduct inspections and process audits for quality.
• Set daily production direction and communicate standards.
• Develop understanding of all processes and equipment in the dept.
• Train and develop team for proper operation of equipment.
• Assess bench strength and cross-training needs.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurrences.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives within department/site.
• Promote continuous improvement and employee involvement.
• Administer company policies consistently.
