Job summary

Valmont Industries in Claremore, OK is seeking a Production Supervisor for a 5-shift weekend-night schedule (Fri–Sun, 5PM–5AM). You will supervise safety, quality, and productivity on the floor, coach operators, coach in RCA, and support cost-reduction and lean initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, proficiency with Excel, and the ability to read blueprints and safety instructions. A forklift test is required, with opportunity to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a forklift driver’s test.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
• Working knowledge of Valmont’s manufacturing process.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong leadership and alignment to divisional objectives.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet tasks and goals through the team.
• Ability to understand department functions within six months.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Shop math skills for reading prints and specs.
• Ability to solve problems and decide based on data.
• Clear, positive team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coach employees on shift to ensure safety policies and rules are followed.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and generate incident reports when needed.
• Lead root cause analysis to identify losses and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain quality standards and perform process audits.
• Set daily direction and production targets for the shift.
• Develop operators and cross-train to cover shifts.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives within the department and site.
• Foster continuous improvement and fair policy application.
