Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in El Dorado, KS is seeking a Production Lead to supervise daily manufacturing, drive safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost objectives. You will advise peers, coordinate with other departments, and lead shift start-up meetings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, and strong mechanical aptitude. You will train personnel, manage PPE and safety policies, and uphold Valmont's standards in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Four years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Wear PPE and follow safety regulations.
• Meet production, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of machines and fabrication processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude incl. reading gauges and blueprints.
• Able to operate forklift and overhead crane after training.

Responsibilities

• Recommend employment actions to Production Supervisor.
• Lead safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure quality checks and paperwork are completed accurately.
• Maintain work instructions and material flow to meet schedules and costs.
• Supervise daily production personnel and communicate performance results.
• Lead shift start-up meetings and cross-training efforts.
• Monitor equipment condition and plan downtime for maintenance.
• Support root cause analysis to reduce losses.
