Valmont Industries in El Dorado, Kansas is hiring a Production Lead to drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor. You will supervise the daily work of production personnel, lead cross-functional coordination, and align with the supervisor to meet metrics and production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of leadership experience in industrial/manufacturing.
• Wear PPE and follow safety rules.
• Maintain a safe, productive environment.
• Meet production, safety, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of machines and fabrication processes.
• Valmont training for forklift and overhead crane.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production workforce and report to supervisor.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a safety-first culture.
• Communicate metrics and progress across shifts.
• Conduct start-up stand-up meetings and coordinate handoffs.
• Train shift personnel for consistent methods and results.
• Ensure quality checks and paperwork are completed accurately.
• Maintain housekeeping and organized production areas.
• Support root-cause analysis to reduce losses.
• Understand processes and equipment in the department.
