Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Tucson, AZ is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor. Under the Operations Manager, you provide leadership to ensure safety, meet customer demands, and improve throughput on the hourly workforce.

You will guide the shift 2:30PM–10:00PM, develop the team, participate in hiring, coordinate with production scheduler, and maintain compliance with EH&S and ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiar with a variety of manufacturing processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to employee involvement and continuous improvement.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available; ITAR restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and leads workflow on the production floor to meet daily goals.
• Provides direction to meet company goals and improve throughput.
• Identifies gaps to prevent downtime and bottlenecks.
• Leads production team in product and process improvements.
• Solves problems to root cause to prevent recurrence.
• Reviews operator performance and attendance for staffing.
• Ensures safety and quality standards are followed.
• Supports hiring decisions and safety investigations with the Safety Manager.
