Job summary

Langham Boston is seeking a Stewarding team member to clean and sanitize glassware, china and kitchen areas in alignment with Langham Hospitality Group standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of stewarding experience in a luxury hotel, strong communication, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and availability for 3pm–11:30pm shifts. Join a collaborative team focused on guest excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of stewarding experience in luxury hotel or similar quality property.
• Effective written and verbal communication with all employees.
• Confident and calm presence.
• Stand, sit, grasp, lift and carry up to 50 pounds; able to move, kneel, squat, bend, push and pull.
• Available to work the 3pm to 11:30pm shift.
• Maintain sanitation guidelines.
• Able to assist in daily operational needs.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clean and store all glassware, china and table utensils using proper procedures.
• Clean cookware and presentation pieces for use by kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to standards; follow 'clean as you go' rules.
• Change dish water as needed, not less than every two hours.
• Assist in utility or kitchen stations as needed.
• Keep floors swept and dry; use 'wet floor' signs.
• Store glasses properly and organize in glass rack.
• Break down trays, operate dish machine, wash dishware, and store clean items.
• De-limes the dish machine when needed.
• Follow garbage disposal and grease trap procedures.
• Support floor and silver polisher duties during shifts.
• Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Report machine issues to supervisor.
