Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety Administrative Assistant to support the Safety Department at the Wakefield plant. You will handle training records, prepare materials for supervisors, track corrective actions from audits, and maintain training files for all employees.

The role emphasizes compliance with Food Safety & Quality policies, OSHA regulations, and safety as a core value. Overtime and holiday work may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Understand OSHA regulations and safety concepts.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• File, track and record training records for the Wakefield Location.
• Create training packets for supervisors and managers.
• Track corrective actions from audits into an Excel database.
• Help maintain up-to-date training files for all employees.
• Assist with posting of safety data around the plant.
• Help develop the Wakefield monthly newsletter.
• Provide clerical support for the Safety Manager.
• Back up for Safety Assistant when needed.
• Assist in issuing safety supplies to employees.
• Conduct safety audits as directed by the Safety Manager.
• Promote health and wellness through health fairs, education and training.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Policies and OSHA regulations.
