Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a sanitation associate at the Wakefield facility. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the department according to schedules and safety rules.

You will assist with pre-op checks, and support production start-up while upholding food safety and quality standards. The position requires the ability to work weekends/holidays, lift up to 75 lbs, and adapt to cold, wet, and noisy environments.

Qualifications

• Reading a limited number of simple words and recognizing word-number patterns.
• Good communication skills for team coordination and safety.
• Basic ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
• Demonstrates teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
• Open to change and able to work independently or in a group.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of the department.
• Follow daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedules.
• Perform daily pre-op inspections and start-up procedures.
• Cross-train in two sanitation jobs and report issues.
• Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, and quality policies.
• Replace gaskets and maintain sanitary conditions; work overtime as needed.
• Work weekends and holidays when required; adhere to GMPs.
