Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Phlebotomy Lab Assistant for full-time evenings. Under direct supervision, you will collect, receive, accession, and process specimens, provide reports to customers, and support phlebotomy operations across pediatric and adult patients.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• 6 months phlebotomy and/or accessioning experience required.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy on children and adults with aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Extracts blood and performs phlebotomy procedures according to aseptic technique.
• Delivers detailed documentation of phlebotomy rounds.
• Enters patient demographics and test orders accurately in the system.
• Prepares and processes specimens for testing and maintains labeling accuracy.
• Performs donor room QC and handles donor documentation.
