Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Phlebotomy training preferred.
• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture across all ages.
• Receive, label and prioritize specimens (STAT, STROKE, CSF).
• Maintain clean, organized drawing station and restock supplies.
• Register courier-delivered specimens efficiently.
• Order tests correctly using hospital information systems.
• Answer and route telephone calls efficiently.
• Perform heel sticks and capillary collections.
• Adhere to PPE and shift reporting; adapt to workflow changes.
• Support ER and provide coverage as needed.
