Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Lab Support Tech I to draw blood samples, collect specimens, and support lab operations in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role requires attention to accuracy, patient care, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include specimen registration, communication with departments, and using hospital information systems to order tests. Preferred candidates have phlebotomy experience and ASCP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Computer and keyboard proficiency required.
• Fluent English communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures and blood collection.
• Assist with specimen handling, labeling and transport.
• Support ER and lab operations, restock supplies and maintain station cleanliness.
• Operate hospital information systems and order tests accurately.
