Job summary

Elliot Health System’s Elliot Hospital Laboratory seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant – Phlebotomist for the Main Campus. This role involves patient contact, specimen collection, labeling, and ensuring specimen integrity from collection through processing.

The position performs venipuncture, blood culture collection, and EPIC entry, with duties rotating weekends/holidays. Requires a High School diploma and phlebotomy training; ASCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine venipuncture and capillary collection across age groups.
• Accurately identify patients and label specimens in the presence of patients.
• Enter laboratory orders into EPIC and document collections.
