Job summary

Elliot Health System's Main Campus is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant – Phlebotomist to support the laboratory's routine and stat testing. The role focuses on venipuncture, specimen handling, and accurate labeling, ensuring smooth flow through the lab.

The position is 32 hours on the second shift (1:30p–10:00p) with rotating weekends and holidays, and requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy training, and willingness to work holidays. Join a full-service lab environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine venipuncture and capillary collection across age groups.
• Accurately label specimens in the patient’s presence and verify orders.
• Enter laboratory orders into EPIC and document collections.
• Answer calls, provide test requirements and relay results to appropriate staff.
