Job summary

The Elliot Hospital Laboratory is seeking a part-time Clinical Lab Assistant to support patient care and specimen flow in a fast-paced environment. You will perform phlebotomy, handle specimens, and assist with clerical tasks to ensure timely processing and accurate results.

This role requires a high school diploma; phlebotomy training preferred; ASCP certification preferred. Work schedule is 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, 32 hours per week, with rotating holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Verify patient demographics and requisitions.
• Enter orders into EPIC and document collections.
• Receive and prepare specimens for processing and storage.
• Answer patient and clinician inquiries and relay results as appropriate.
