The Elliot Health System Laboratory is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to support patient care by handling specimen collection, processing, and data entry in EPIC. The role includes venipuncture across ages, specimen labeling, and communicating test requirements to clinicians.

Shifts run 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, 32 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays. This is a part-time position with comprehensive benefits for staff.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy course or experience preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine venipuncture and capillary collection across ages.
• Collect blood cultures as required.
• Identify patient and label specimens accurately in all settings.
• Verify requisitions and document orders clearly.
• Enter orders into EPIC and perform clerical duties.
• Receive and verify specimen demographics and types.
• Prepare specimens for processing and transport to the main lab.
• Document storage and tracking of specimens.
• Answer calls and provide test results or requirements.
