Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in Revenue Cycle. The 2nd shift supports patient access, registration, and billing coordination in a high-volume setting.

The role requires strong customer service, HIPAA awareness, and proficiency with EPIC EMR and insurance verification tools. Part-time schedule includes two-week rotation and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; no licensure needed.
• Experience with insurance verification/eligibility tools preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with HIPAA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, collect and verify demographics and insurance data.
• Schedule appointments and communicate test preparations and directions.
• Greet patients and provide courteous customer service in person and on the phone.
• Monitor electronic health record queues and ensure timely workflows.
• Handle payments and protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
