Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Sr Patient Access Associate for a part-time schedule in Omaha. The role involves greeting patients, handling accounts, insurance verification, and coordinating across departments in a fast-paced environment.

You will train fully for three weeks on a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule before transitioning to the regular 3:30 PM–8:30 PM shifts, with Sundays through Tuesdays workdays and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years customer service experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner required.
• Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization.
• Type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy rating required.
• BLS certification within six months of hire, from an AHA-endorsed program.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers in a professional, timely manner.
• Create and update accounts accurately to optimize cash flow.
• Handle scheduling, pre-registration, registration, insurance verification and receipts.
• Provide face-to-face and bedside patient contact as needed.
• Support across departments; adapt to a 24/7 coverage model.
