Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Sr Patient Access Associate for the evening shift (Part-Time 20 hours/week, Wed-Sun 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM) at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. You will greet patients, verify information, register accounts, and support cash flow while complying with regulations.

The role requires at least two years of customer service, a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years customer service experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner required.
• Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with aptitude for detail-oriented work required.
• Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization to foster a team environment required.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy rating required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire or transfer date required, from an AHA endorsed program.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure accounts are created accurately to optimize cash flow.
• Provide face-to-face and bedside patient contact as needed while maintaining professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations throughout the registration process.
• Support scheduling, pre-registration, pre-admission, registration/admission, and insurance verification.
