Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Sr Patient Access Associate for the part-time Second Shift. You will be the first impression for patients, greet them, verify information and assist with registrations.

Work four days a week 3:30 PM–8:30 PM on Sat-Sun-Mon-Tue, with training first three weeks Mon-Fri 7:00–3:30.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years customer service experience.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner.
• Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with aptitude for detail-oriented work.
• Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization to foster a team environment.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy rating.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire or transfer date (AHA-endorsed).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers in a professional, timely manner.
• Create and verify patient accounts to optimize cash flow for the organization.
• Handle sensitive financial and insurance information in real time.
• Support across departments as needed and assist with front-line operations.
