Sky Lakes Medical Center Inc. is seeking an Emergency Access Rep - Patient Access for the evening shift. This on-site, part-time role focuses on accurate data entry, insurance information verification, and coordinating patient flow in a busy emergency setting.

Strong typing, math and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and with a team, while maintaining careful attention to detail and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Typing, word processing or data entry skills at 50 wpm; spelling, math and problem-solving skills.
• Filing, telephone skills, and the ability to work independently and with others, as well as communicate effectively with patients and professionals.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and attend to detail.
• Preferred: medical terminology; medical or clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining and Verifying Insurance Information for all types of insurance.
• Auditing for Completeness and Accuracy in charts/registrations daily with high accuracy (>95%).
• Preparation of patient identification and paperwork for care and routing.
• Effective communication in person and by telephone with patients and staff.
• Assist Emergency Department staff in wayfinding and with patient-related tasks as needed.
• Meet age, cultural, spiritual, and physical needs of patients.
