Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Patient Access Representative to manage patient registration, verify insurance, and collect payments. You will coordinate with clinical departments to ensure accurate data entry and a positive patient experience.

The role requires strong customer service, computer skills, and familiarity with Epic. Some travel between campuses may be required; hours include weekdays and weekends with flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate/degree in health care related field preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous medical administrative experience and/or health care related education courses preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in hospital information system for outpatient and ED.
• Identify and validate patient information and ensure EMR integrity.
• Coordinate with SLPG practices and departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assist with insurance verification, pre-certs and referrals when needed.
• Greet patients, direct visitors and support patient portal usage.
• Handle cash collections at the point of service and address inquiries.
