TuftsMedicine is seeking an entry-level Patient Access professional for Lowell General Hospital—Main Campus. Roles include interviewing inpatients/outpatients, collecting demographic/financial data, and performing pre-service financial clearance to facilitate care.

The position requires clerical accuracy and clear communication with patients and providers. The schedule includes evening hours, with a 40-hour work week and a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, onsite at Lowell General Hospital.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a customer service setting, ideally hospital registration or medical office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed.

Responsabilidades

• Pre-Registration tasks for inpatients and outpatients prior to service date, collecting demographic and financial information.
• Obtain insurance information via family or physician offices and verify insurance.
• Notify patients of financial liabilities as determined by benefits and charges.
• Collect patient payments and apply them in the system per policy.
• Provide Financial Counselor contact information to patients qualifying for assistance.
• Document financial state and related information for hospital administration.
