Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino Coast is seeking an Access Coordinator I for a per diem role with 10-hour evening shifts at our Fort Bragg, CA location. The incumbent will perform general administrative duties, provide patient care support, and ensure excellent customer service for all patient requests onsite.

Responsibilities include greeting and registering patients, updating demographic and financial information, handling referrals, and assisting patients with questions.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• One year physician office, hospital patient registration or patient accounting experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Greeting and registering patients, updating demographic/insurance information, scheduling appointments, assisting patients with questions and requests.
• Answering and directing calls and secure messages via the EHR; schedule reminders and verify eligibility.
• Organizing Outguides for next day appointments, balance payments, and courier collections to Business Office.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and support teamwork, communication, and customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
