Qualifications

• 3+ years in a medical office or similar patient-facing setting; 5+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance plans, billing, and regulations.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to learn firm-specific software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and teams.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, manage appointments, and alert staff to patient presence.
• Direct walk-ins to appropriate staff and route calls and messages.
• Follow procedures and maintain records, forms control, and budgets.
• Collect co-pays and self-pays; document amounts and alert for outstanding balances.
• Handle clinical alerts and ensure adherence to patient restrictions.
• Assist with patient documentation and chart availability on intake days.
• Monitor waiting area safety and communicate with staff as needed.
• Keep front desk and waiting areas clean and orderly.
