Job summary

SOME (So Others Might Eat) in Washington, DC seeks a Patient Service Coordinator to manage daily front desk and clinic admin for Behavioral Health Services. You will greet clients, register them, verify insurance, and coordinate schedules with the clinical team.

The role is grant-funded for 1 year, with a hybrid schedule and competitive hourly pay. Strong customer service and EMR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required with 1–3 years administrative experience in primary or acute care.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors, register and direct them to services.
• Check in walk-in and appointment clients and complete registration.
• Verify insurance information and update client data in EMR.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate care with psychiatry as needed.
• Provide front desk support and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Process DocuSign requests and handle outreach for no-shows.
