Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents with daily medication needs in a compassionate, dignity-maintaining manner at our Stafford, VA location.

The role requires following MAR orders, mastering the Six rights of medication administration, and using the eMAR system. You will collaborate with clinical leadership, provide direct care, and mentor non-licensed staff on shift to uphold our care standards.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of elder care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Willing to take additional training as states may require.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to utilize the eMAR system to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on resident medication and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Lead on shift with Bickford's Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’.
