Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time RN leader for the Nursing Float Pool at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The role supports staffing, safety, and patient flow with 24 hours per week across two shifts, 7p-7a.

Expect collaboration with charge nurses and hospital teams to meet regulatory and quality targets. Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, monitoring labor costs, addressing patient and family needs, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• BSN degree required; leadership experience preferred.
• Previous charge nurse or leadership role advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing with the Patient Command Center to ensure safe patient throughput.
• Oversee labor use, target HPPD and LCE with unit charge nurses.
• Participate in daily safety and capacity huddles and assign staffing by competency.
• Address patient, family and staff needs and support quality improvement.
