Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Nursing Float Pool on the 7p-7a schedule, 24 hours/week across two shifts.

The RN will coordinate staffing with the Patient Command Center, supervise nursing staff, participate in safety and capacity huddles, and contribute to quality improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• At least four years’ inpatient/acute care nursing experience.
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing with the Patient Command Center for safe patient throughput.
• Oversee labor/resource utilization and meet HPPD/LCE targets with unit charge nurses.
• Participate in daily safety and capacity huddles and assign staff by competency.
• Solicit feedback from patients, visitors, physicians, and staff for service improvement.
• Lead quality improvement activities and monitor productivity and regulatory compliance.
