Job summary

Advocate Health in the United States is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. This role is 24 hours per week, with 2 x 12-hour shifts (7a–7p) and every other weekend, and may float to Atrium Health Union, Union West and Anson.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patient conditions, coordinating with the care team, maintaining patient safety, and accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with multi-state compact and/or single-state privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
