Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. This full-time role involves 36 hours per week, 7p-7a shifts with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

You will deliver bedside nursing using the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, administer therapies as needed, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and participate in safety initiatives. Requires BSN preferred, RN license, BLS, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in Illinois.
• BLS certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed.
