Job summary

Transition Projects, Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee Delta Park Shelter operations, lead staff, and ensure compassionate, effective service delivery for participants in emergency shelters.

The role requires strong leadership, bilingual English/Spanish preferences, and a commitment to safety and program quality. This on-site position offers non-exempt status with benefits and a Sunday-Tuesday night schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of social services experience, or one year at Transition Projects.
• Experience with homeless or low-income populations is helpful.
• Proven ability to train, lead and support colleagues.
• Strong problem solving and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and role modeling for shelter staff.
• Promote teamwork and de-escalation to maintain a safe space.
• Serve as active shelter staff member and handle shift coverage.
• Perform Residential Advocate and Custodian duties as needed.
• Lead team meetings and assist in staff training and guidance.
• Support policies and participate in program design and evaluation.
