Job summary

Primavera Foundation Inc. seeks a Shelter Operations Specialist for the 2nd shift to help create a peaceful, safe environment at the Primavera Men’s Shelter.

You will work with a team to supervise volunteers and manage daily shelter operations, supporting residents toward self-sufficiency and housing goals. The role requires evening availability and weekend flexibility, plus duties in kitchen, meal coordination, and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1 year of experience with people facing mental health concerns, housing insecurities, or related needs.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software, including databases.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver's license and transportation for off-site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with participants, volunteers, and staff.
• Assist with orientation, welcome residents, set guidelines, and promote safety.
• Cross-train in residential duties and provide coverage as needed.
• Support daily shelter operations including laundry, meals, cleaning, and stocking.
• Complete required paperwork and enter data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain shelter guidelines and communicate concerns to leadership.
• Supervise volunteers and coordinate meal preparation and serving.
• Maintain security, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
