Qualifications

• CPR and hospital de-escalation certification required.
• Preferred: some college or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN or LPN/LVN supervision.
• Monitors vital signs and patient condition, reporting changes to RN.
• Observes behavior, mental status, and activities; documents findings.
• Assists with patient safety checks, restraints, and de-escalation per policy.
• Documents in EHR and communicates with care team.
• Chooses appropriate de-escalation techniques and maintains patient dignity.
• Participates in orientation of new staff and treatment team meetings.
• Supports compassionate care and adheres to HIPAA and safety standards.
