Job summary

You will monitor patients, document observations, assist with ADLs, and participate in CQI activities while maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification required.
• Preferred: some college coursework.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
• Previous healthcare setting experience required.
• One year of behavioral health technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction.
• Record vital signs and intake/output; notify RN of changes.
• Observe patients and report behavioral changes or unusual events.
• Assist with restraints under RN direction and CPI policy.
• Assist with safety checks and documentation in EHR.
• Support treatment team meetings and patient orientation to unit.
• Provide basic nursing care and assist with ADLs as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report hazards.
