Bickford Senior Living in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Medication Technician to support resident care and ensure medications are administered accurately and with dignity. You will follow physician orders, utilize the eMAR system, and communicate with clinical leadership to provide high-quality care.

Qualifications

• An active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
• Must have an approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ on shift.
