Job summary

Expeditors Addison, TX is seeking a Transportation Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth logistics operations by coordinating carriers, facilities, and processes. You will analyze needs, research transport options, and audit costs to drive performance and minimize transportation costs.

The role involves coordinating with customers, 3PLs, and internal teams, ensuring OTIF delivery, and supporting inbound/outbound warehouse activities. Shift: Mon–Fri, 5 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
• 1–2 years experience in supply chain, logistics and/or transportation (preferred).
• Experience in logistics software and systems (ERP, TMS, WMS).
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset with data interpretation ability.
• Self-starter with triage and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and provide excellent service.
• Identify issues affecting customer satisfaction and implement solutions.
• Coordinate flow of goods with customers, 3PLs, carriers, and warehouses to meet KPIs/OKRs.
• Arrange transportation considering cost, transit time, and mode; coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers.
• Drive carrier/service provider performance for Hub/Spoke locations.
• Manage inbound/outbound warehouse activities and capacity.
• Provide data analytics to improve transportation efficiency.
• Collaborate with multiple parties to resolve issues.
• Serve as liaison between vendors, carriers, internal teams, and customers.
