Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Carson, CA-based logistics coordinator to support outbound truck and intermodal freight movement across the U.S. You will coordinate with asset-based truckers, our warehouse, and Expeditors offices while delivering proactive customer service.

The role requires strong communication, numerical skills, and the ability to build customized solutions for customers. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with office-based work and phone/email interactions with carriers and clients.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Background check must be passed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to commute to Carson, CA.
• Comfortable with numbers and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with trucking carriers.
• Ensure smooth and timely pickup and delivery of freight; schedule appointments as needed.
• Dispatch delivery orders, bills of lading, and track shipments.
• Meet KPIs and delivery dates; ensure documentation for closeout.
• Assist with quoting trucking/delivery rates and gather required information.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing for trucking/delivery services.
• Perform accurate data entry into the operational system.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency.
