Job summary

Spire Hospitality LLC is seeking an experienced cook for an evening shift in Oregon. You will prepare all food items per standard recipes and guest checks, monitor storage and portion sizes, and maintain clean refrigeration and work areas. Ability to read recipes and perform basic math is required.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, work in extreme temperatures, and adapt to varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of cooking fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of sanitation standards and safe food handling.
• Ability to operate common kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, fryers).
• Basic math skills to follow recipes and measure ingredients.
• Ability to read and write English to complete requisitions and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check.
• Checks and controls the proper storage of product and portion control size.
• Keeps refrigeration, storage and working areas clean and in proper condition.
• Prepares requisition for supplies and food items; uses math to portion items.
• Performs cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
• Maintains dry, clean floors to prevent slips and falls.
• Performs other duties such as moving supplies as needed.
