Job summary

Elmer's Restaurants in Oregon is seeking a line cook to help us delight guests by preparing menu entrees to recipe, presentation and ticket-time standards. You will stock stations, cook to guest preferences, and work with the kitchen team to keep service moving smoothly.

We offer tip pooling with front and back of house, with base wage starting at $18/hour plus typical tips of $3–$4/hour, along with robust benefits including meals discounts, life insurance, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Food Handler’s Card.
• Age 18 or older.
• Able to read/speak the work location language.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and ingredients.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock assigned work stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepares food for service according to specifications.
• Cook guest orders to recipe and guest preferences.
• Ensure food quality, presentation and ticket-time standards.
• Follow instructions from Kitchen Manager and Supervisor.
• Keep prep counters and equipment clean and sanitary.
• Maintain grills, fryers, ovens, and serving line.
• Monitor temperatures of equipment and food items.
• Stock inventory for station.
• Date, rotate, and store all food items.
• Complete side work and extra projects as assigned.
