Job summary

Running Y Resort in Oregon is seeking a Line Cook/Cook I to join our busy culinary team. You will set up your station, prepare a wide array of dishes to recipe standards, and help maintain a sanitary, well-organized kitchen.

Wage starts at $16.00 per hour and can rise with experience. This role requires nights, weekends, some holidays, basic cooking and knife skills, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station with safety and sanitation.
• Uses and maintains all equipment in the station.
• Assists with cleaning and organization of kitchen, walk-ins, storage.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef.
