Job summary

Central Virginia Community College is seeking a part-time Computer Operations Techn I to support IT requests Monday through Thursday, 12pm–7pm, totaling 28 hours per week. Responsibilities include hardware, software, and AV support, with documentation of resolutions and procedures.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of computer installation, repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with LANs and network basics.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Office applications.
• Excellent customer service and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to IT work requests and user assistance.
• Assist with hardware repairs, software upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Install computers and peripherals; support AV equipment.
• Document problem resolution and create user tips/instructions.
