Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Switchboard Operator at Methodist Hospital to join our switchboard team. You will route calls, provide patient information, paging on-call physicians, and handle codes and related communication services.

Work schedule is Evening Shift, 32 hours per week (.8 FTE), with alternating weekends. Minimum 1 year of client-facing customer service is preferred; prior call center or switchboard experience is a plus. Health-care knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year client facing customer service required.
• Call center or Switchboard experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Health Care industry; eagerness to take on projects and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Route calls to appropriate departments and provide patient information.
• Page on-call physicians, process codes and related communication services.
• Prioritize response to a wide variety of routine, public service and emergency calls.
• Respond to emergency alerts and alarms and assist colleagues, patients, visitors and members.
