Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners at Mercy - West Hospital in Green Township, OH, seeks an entry level Patient Access Specialist for an onsite, part-time role. Schedule is 7pm–7:30am with weekend and holiday rotation required.

You will walk throughout the hospital with a 10-pound mobile station, perform admitting duties, verify eligibility, collect insurance information, and guide patients through consent forms while meeting regulations and service standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Willing to obtain CRCR certification within 6 months (Company Paid).
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs, complete medical necessity / compliance checks, collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and use an overlay tool while delivering excellent service.
• Operate the hospital telephone switchboard to relay calls as applicable.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service in interactions.
• Meet point of service goals as assigned.
• Audit and report on accounts; ensure forms are completed accurately and timely.
• Pre-register patient accounts including demographic, insurance, and financial information.
